Trip to Lambertville | With Thanks to the Dean | You Can Get There From Here | You Can't Get There From Here | Criteria
This has saved me so many times. It's wonderful to soothe the stumble of a previous problematic dance with this nice, simple, distinctive dance. It's just a neighbor Rory o' More figure in a wave of four ending with a swing. So even if they don't get the Rory o' More, it gets cleaned up with a swing. And they get many different people to practice it with. The more experienced dancers have a blast with the spins.
It does suffer from two circle left 3/4s. Sometimes I replace the first with a women allemande right 1 & 1/2. Sometimes I used Ridge Kennedy's dance, "Rock the Cradle, Joe," which uses a give-and-take. And sometimes I leave well enough alone.
