Ohio River Contra | Poetry in Motion | Ramsay Chase | Salmonella Evening | Sarah's Journey
There's storyline and then there's storyline. Storyline is when all the figures fit together logically, and each flows naturally into the next, making it easy to remember. Storyline is a small play that you, your partner and the music improvise to.
And "Ramsay Chase" has both.
It's a simple one, of chasing and being chased, with pauses for interaction. Simple is all there's time for in 64 beats. The no-touch gypsy plus the pauses of coming forward and retreating set this dance far above run-of-the-mill chase sequences.
